The Brief
When eMaids knocked on our door, they already were a thriving cleaning company with 12 locations al over the United States. Because of this, eMaids wanted to re-create their website from scratch, line up all locations into one design and system, rank better on Google, and display a professional image and intuitive navigation through their website.
Backed by our experience in the home cleaning industry, eMaids came to us for a new effective website design. They wanted to do things right and work with the best, and we were ready to make the cut.
Our Approach
When we work in a project, communication is key. We kicked off with an introductory meeting in which we compared the realities of the cleaning industry with the business goals of eMaids, along with their current strengths and weaknesses. We always do the strategy before content -- and even long before design --, so we use these first meetings to pitch ideas, write extensive checklists, and manage the creative balance between client and agency.
Then, with the strategy defined and the keywords written down, we built the website framework following the established goals. The next step was to create keyword targeted and locally optimized website pages and content, making sure that these efforts will funnel visitors smoothly into the sales process. This step was replicated in each one of the 12 locations, carefully editing if necessary.
The design had its unique challenges too. The multi-color eMaids image had to be leveled to guid the visitors into the Call To Actions better, and also to project harmony and professionalism while navigating the site. After some revisions and edits, the final results were a bold and modern two main colors approach and an intuitive and simple structure.
Our Result
With its 12 locations now alligned in a structured and optimized, master website, eMaids showcases more than ever the image of a successful cleaning company to tis clients and potential clients.
The website performance is in top shape, ranking higher in search engines. Not only they attract more people (XX% more), they also attract better visitors because of optimization, increasing their sales potential.
We have no doubts: we built a website for a winning company. We look forward to working with them again.

Mark - Design
There's a lot of challenging parts on design process, first are the colors of the site, there are too much color to handle, secon, experimenting multiple mock ups with multiple versions and revisions. The last and the hardest thing I would say about this project was lack of creative control. The size of the project is too much for one person with side-tasks, with that situation cooperating with co-designer and clients comments are the main thing that will affect the overall looks of the site. Its not easy to balance but step by step it gradually meet the expectation of the client.
Nomar - Development
I created all the pages of the site and copied all correctly the PSD design. I also created a store locator to redirect the customers depending on the their location. The challenging part is the QA example the different between the background image and image only element. Using global default style without declaring a new style. And there are some design errors like the container that makes each section centered, the width must be the same for the whole site body section. On the design the header and footer wrapper width are not the same too. Heading sizes, font families and button sizes these must be all the same designs. So maybe next time in designing these must be.
