I just shared this with our clients but feel is important to help the industry as a whole.
It’s time to reposition yourself.
For those who I have already spoken with, this may be old news but I wanted to make sure we didn’t miss anyone and also make sure we can communicate clearly during this time.

We are the innovators in our local markets as business owners we are constantly having to make tough decisions within our business, nothing like what we are having to do now however this doesn’t mean we just lay down and take it as it is, we rise to the challenge and take it head on.
Remember, though we are dealing with now it will be on the minds of many for time to come so even though this is a quick pivot it may be a more long-term positioning needed as everyone deals with the post-situation.
We may need to consider changing the home page “above the fold” and build a dedicated services page for this service, meanwhile, the blog and simple home page edits will be the short-term fix.
I would also suggest purchasing a press release to get more media coverage on this topic. They are 100/ea at our cost, if you are interested, let me know and we will get it published for you.
We want to help you however we can, and after consulting with many others this is what we are currently doing.
- Communicate Clearly – You will see a blog post template here that you can modify to fit your companies position on how you are “helping your clients keep their homes clean from germs”
- Leveraging your current database – Not only should email your clients asking them to purchase gift cards, but also explaining the new services that are available to them and asking to purchase gift cards for later use of these services.
- Positioning – Many of our clients are also pivoting their services to offer “office cleaning, & sanitizing services” as well as offering a “multi touch point home sanitizing service” some clients are adding this free of charge to existing clients and also selling it as a one-off service to new clients.
- Create Digital Assets – This is blog posts, Press Releases, Infographics, and images to share via Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest etc.
- Google Ads – I know not everyone is running Google Ads campaigns but what is selling right now is Move -in Move-Out services, and we are setting up a “coronavirus campaign” for our Google Ads clients. I’m offering this service to you free of charge, to you. You will just need to cover the ad spend. I will also report back on the results we are seeing.
